Hello, and thanks for wanting to get to know us. We already have so much respect for you for considering a adoption plan, and we haven't even met yet! This says so much about you already! We know that this is a very difficult time for you; we realize that the decision that you are making is with love, selflessness and courageous. We can only promise to give your child unconditional love, security, stability, faith and happiness. Please read further and see how much love we have to share. | | |
| | Our Promise: That our child will have unconditional love, support and strength from us, our faith, family and friends! We can start with a solid foundation of values, morals and a sense of security of belonging. Bringing a child into our lives is a huge responsibility that we are well prepared for and excited about. As you can see we are not strangers to being around children of all ages, Chuck was a lifeguard and taught swimming lessons working his way through Pepperdine University and I babysat my way through High School and Junior College. Education is very important to the both of us we will encourage our child to be an individual and pursue what ever dreams they may have, and that we will encourage them to further their education, if that is what they desire. Our child will have opportunities to learn not only in a classroom setting, but by traveling and learning first hand about different cultures and people. We want to expose our child to Chucks family in Hungary, and to be able to teach our child some of the Hungarian language, since it is fluent to Chuck and his family, and to Mary Lynns family in Panama, and see how others live around the world. So much of life's lessons come from experience, we can't wait to be able to do this as a family...... | |
| About Us: We have a great foundation, being married over 15 years. We are not only husband and wife we truly are best friends. When we first met, we were good friends for sometime before Chuck decided it was time to ask me out, as they say the rest is history!! We have been able to grow and mature as a couple. We know what it is like to spend your entire lives dedicated to one another. Both of us knew very early on in our marriage, that children would be a huge part of our lives. We both love to laugh, and have such love for life. We do almost everything together and try to look at life as a journey and there is no one direct path. We have been fortunate to be able to travel and explore different parts of the world and we can't wait to share this with our child. We live in a very nice neighborhood with lots of children and two parks that encircle our street. Cooking out on the patio with family and friends is a love for us both. Our home is large enough to share with a child or two, we have a wonderful backyard as well as a huge porch to relax on in the evenings. We love our community and neighbors, it is such a family friendly area, there are "stay at home" moms and children all around. We have a walking/biking trail that is stroller friendly that runs along the river, we can't wait to take this path as a family. And we live a half hour from the lake. Mary Lynn will be a "stay at home" mom herself, we both feel this is very important.
We have worked hard building our future so we could have a stable and loving home for our child, this includes owning two homes our main home in California and our "get away" home in South Carolina on Lake Hartwell that we had custom built. We have a fun loving dog Julius (she is a girl) she got her name from one of our trips to Jamaica, and we have a very furry cat named Alex. We are not sure who thinks that they are the dog or cat? We try to Julius with us on mini vacations and when go visit our families, they both bring so much joy.
We had tried for several years of trying to conceive, but God had other plans for us. We realized it was a dream of becoming parents, and it was a natural and loving way to build our family through adoption. Mary Lynn is not a stranger to adoption, her older sister is a birth mom herself, and she has been able to see how wonderful this path can be, as well as us having friends who have created their family through adoption. It is amazing how paths can cross. Our child will always know how much love you have for them and how unselfish you are. Adoption will not be a secret to our child, they will always know how much love you have for him or her.
Mary Lynn is an Ophthalmic Technician. This fancy name means she is an Eye Surgeons nurse. She has been doing this for over 15 years, and loves the fact that she helps people everyday. It is amazing to see how at times patients can't see at all, and they have such zest for life, it is contagious. Chuck graduated from Pepperdine University with a Finance degree, and now is an Assistant Plant Controller for a world known food distributor, making sure the company stays profitable. He also loves the fact that his job makes a difference, and the decisions he makes will make a positive impact on the employees of the company. Chuck also has his "Teaching Credential" that he received from the University of Northride, he will use once he retires from the "Corporate World" it is his dream to teach math to Middle School age children, and of course coach either swimming or Water Polo!
ABOUT our FAMILY
Both of our families live here in California, our child will have lots of aunts and uncles, and 10 cousins to be able to play with. We both come from stable homes and good values instilled in us, where both our parents have been married 45 years + and we are aunt and uncle to 10 nieces and nephews. We have been honored to be godparents to Chris, and Paige. All of our family and friends can't wait to help us welcome our child with open arms.. We spend time in our vacation home on the lake in South Carolina. This is where we do a lot of water skiing, wake boarding, "tubing", and fishing along with a lot of playing in the water. Boating and skiing is such a great family affair, we can't wait to be able to add ONE more. Water skiing comes second nature to Chuck, since he has been skiing since he was 6. He has taught many children to ski through the YMCA and has competed at the college level. Along with gardening, Mary Lynn loves redoing antiques. She loves to find "retired" furniture from other families, and make it into one of our treasured pieces. We both enjoy taking Julius to the park for walks and playing "fetch" with her on weekends when we are not on the lake. With Love and Thanks! We thank you again for taking the time to read about who we are, although this is just a very small part, we would love to hear from you so you can get to know us better, and we can learn what your hopes and dreams are for you and your baby. We wait with great anticipation to bring a baby into our hearts and home! Our child will know of your sacrifice you had in loving them so much that you have made this loving choice with such strength. We can promise that every time we look at our child we will always see the love that you have for them. We are open to any level of friendship that is comfortable for everyone. As your child grows, we look forward to the moments that we can share with you the joys of being a child. We look forward to our shared Miracle and our answered Prayers!!
